Summary

Iatrogenic Bile duct injuries (IBDI), during laparoscopic cholecystectomy (CL), are complications that cau- se unexpected results for surgeons, an increment in patient risks (morbidity and mortality), and affect the patient ́s quality of life. At the same time, they create difficult situations for the repairing surgeon from a technical point of view. The aim of this manuscript was to summarize the information regarding IBDI and to descri- be its morphology and diagnostic-therapeutic options.
